A first aider is a person trained to give immediate, basic, medical care to someone who is injured or ill, providing support until professional medical help arrives.
Learn how to do CPR effectively, how to use an AED promptly, and raise their chances of survival. Most cardiac arrests happen at home, we'd love you to learn the skills required to help save a life.
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work.
This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.
Emergency First Aid at Work
(EFAW)

Qualification achieved: Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is ideal for you as a beginner.
This is Cheshire First Aid’s most popular first aid course.
It’s perfect for employees from low-risk workplaces like offices and shops. It’s also brilliant for individuals who want to acquire lifesaving first aid skills.
The course is accredited by Qualsafe Awards and your certificate will be valid for three years.
Duration: 7 hours
Delivery: Classroom based, anywhere in Cheshire & beyond
Perfect timings: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Max group size: 12 people
Minimum age: 14 years old

This First Aid at Work course will be perfect for you and your team if you are looking to meet the HSE criteria in a work environment that is considered to be higher risk, i.e. a warehouse or construction site.

Duration for 'blended' course: 6 hours online & 2 days classroom

First Aid at Work
Requalification
Two-day course
Qualification achieved: Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)
It is possible to reduce the three-day First Aid at Work course to two days when requalifying. If Learners produce their current or previous, recently expired (within a month), First Aid at Work certificate.
The FAW certificate should be in a format as accepted by the HSE.

Annual Refresher

Qualification achieved: Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) (RQF)
If your 'First Aiders' have been on a course and it is coming up to 12 months their skills may have faded. This course is perfect for keeping them 'refreshed'.
All attendees must have an in-date certificate for EFAW or FAW course.
